THE HISTORY OF THE MOJITO
There are so many versions of this tasty drink's history. Some say a pirate by the name of Richard Drake came up with this concoction to protect him and his crew from scurvy, some say Cuban farmers tried to jazz up the low-grade Rum they were able to afford by adding sugar and mint, that it perhaps was a medical remedy on the island or that African slaves working in the sugar cane fields came up with this tasty treat.
What we do know is that Hemingway loved it and so did the beautiful Brigitte Bardot and so do WE!
THE MOJITO'S CLOSE COUSIN
The Mint Julep is a close cousin to our delicious Mojito. Made with Bourbon instead of Rum and some crushed ice it is a famous Southern drink worth a try!
