Mamma Lella's is one of the food entrepreneurs in our family and mother to one of our Founders and Auntie to the rest! She is a savvy, industrious business woman and also makes some delicious meals at home for us. Here is a fast and easy dish that is one of our absolute favorites!
INGREDIENTS:
- Organic White Wheat Spaghetti Pasta 250gr
- Organic Basil Tomato Sauce 280 gr
- Organic Vegan Basil Pesto 100gr
- Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil 100% Italian Cold Extracted
- 1/4 Yellow Onion
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Optional: Parmesan cheese
- Extra Delicious Optional: Cubed mozzarella for extra melty cheesy goodness
HOW TO:
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil for the pasta

At the same time prepare your sauce: Take a pan, add 5 tbsp of olive oil and the ¼ Yellow onion (chopped). Sauté till translucent
- Add the whole jar of Organic Basil Tomato Sauce. Set the heat to low and stir a bit. Add a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste
- Let it cook for 5 mins stirring occasionally
- Add 100gr of Organic Vegan Basil Pesto to the pan and stir into the tomato sauce
- Once the pasta water is boiling add salt and add 250gr of Organic White Wheat Spaghetti Pasta
- Let it cook for 6 to 8 mins and stir occasionally until cooked al dente
- Drain the pasta and add it to the pan with the sauce.
- Stir to bring it all together
- NOTE: If you stop here the recipe is 100% Vegan and delicious!! If you’d like to add grated parmesan cheese and/or some mozzarella, do so now! The recipe will now only be extra gooey, cheesy and delicious…(this is how the original dish is finished)
